KEIR SURGICAL CONTRIBUTES TO HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

Immediately after announcements of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that tore through Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Keir Surgical Ltd. employees began collecting funds to help support the relief efforts.

Through the company's donation matching program, Keir Surgical and its employees raised more than $1,900 to support the Canadian Red Cross. To support doctors and nurses helping those in critical condition in the devastated country, Keir Surgical also contributed medical supplies. Approximately $500 of K-Wires and Steinmann pins were donated to Dr. Fournier from Charles Lemoyne Hospital in Quebec for his mission. An additional $500 worth of surgical instruments and containers were provided to False Creek Surgical Centre in British Columbia to be sent to Haiti.

In response to the immediate initiative taken from within the company, Michael Fish, President of Keir Surgical stated, "The tragedy of the Haiti earthquake is abundantly apparent. We felt it was important that, as a company, we support the efforts our employees were making to provide relief to the Haitian people."
