Keir Surgical is Awarded Exclusive Canadian Rights from Sharpoint Sutures

Vancouver, BC – Keir Surgical Ltd., a Canadian surgical instrument company, today announced that it has been awarded exclusive distributor rights from Sharpoint Sutures, a leading suture manufacturer in the United States.

Sharpoint Sutures, a division of Angiotech, offers some of the finest sutures available on the market.” said Michael Fish, Keir Surgical’s President. “Their proprietary needle is revolutionizing the market, specifically in the microsurgery area.

These M.E.T. (micro-edge taper point) needles ensure a cleaner incision with less tissue tension for a more precise needle placement. Sharpoint sutures are also used in 80% of vasectomy reversals performed in the United States, which really opens up the market to us.”
