Keir Surgical and TGX Medical Make Contribution to CSA Medical Program

Keir Surgical Ltd, a Canadian surgical products company, demonstrated their continued support of the surgical community today by presenting a generous donation to the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The donation, made in conjunction with TGX Medical Systems, will be used by the CSA to develop a Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Personnel Certification program. “CSA is grateful for Keri Surgical contribution towards the education and certification program that will help benefit patients, practitioners and industry by validating the competency of technicians who reprocess reusable medical devices.” says Miles Murphy, Product Manager, Personnel Certification Product Development of CSA.

“We are always looking for ways to support our customers in the medical community. To be able to be a part of such an important certification program is a great honour,” says Michael Fish, president of Keir Surgical.

The donation was presented March 14, 2009 at Keir Surgical’s annual SPD seminar held in Ottawa, ON. The free, full-day seminar, which attracted more than 70 participants from local hospitals, is another example of Keir Surgical’s dedication to the medical community.
