Keir Surgical is Granted Exclusive Distributorship of the New QlickSmart Cassette 3in1

Keir Surgical has recently been awarded exclusive Canadian distributorship of QlickSmart's newest product, the QlickSmart Cassette 3-in-1, a sterile scalpel blade removal and containment system.

With an emphasis on work safety and a reduction of infection, the QlickSmart Cassette 3-in-1 provides a solution to hospitals' Infection Control departments where it is needed most: A scalpel blade removal system that is used within the sterile field of the operating room.

With scalpel injuries rating among the top five common types of sharps injuries, second only to needle sticks, development of the Qlicksmart CASSETTE 3in1 was driven by a desire to lower the risk of infection for doctors, nurses, and patients. It was invented with the aim to protect nurses, the highest risk market for sustaining sharps injuries, in an environment that has a high risk of bloodborne infections - the operating room. Preventing possible infection through providing a safe solution at the workplace is a more preferable alternative to the costly diagnosis and treatment once infection has already occurred.

The QlickSmart Cassette 3-in-1 has recently been shortlisted for a prestigious design award by INDEX for designs that make a difference in the world.
