Keir Surgical Acquires Kawartha Surgical Instrument Repair.

Vancouver, BC – Keir Surgical Ltd., a Canadian surgical instrument company, today announced the acquisition of Kawartha Surgical Instrument Repair, an Ontario-based surgical instrument repair company.

Following a six-month repair partnership, Keir Surgical purchased the company which prided itself on a state of the art repair facility and experienced Senior Instrument Repair Technicians. With extensive knowledge of machining and fabricating processes, the full-service repair shop is able to repair all makes and models of surgical instruments.

“The purchase of Kawartha Surgical Instrument Repair is strategically important for Keir Surgical,” said Michael Fish, Keir Surgical’s President. “Not only does it allow Keir Surgical to offer a fullservice repair depot for our customers in Ontario, Québec, and the Maritimes, but it also reinforces our commitment to building our business in Eastern Canada.”

With this acquisition Keir Surgical establishes an eastern footprint which will be used to build on its commitment to top quality customer service across Canada.

The agreement was signed and executed on the morning of August 26, 2008.
