Keir Surgical hosts an ‘Evening with the VSO’
October 2008

Keir Surgical Ltd, a Canadian surgical instrument company, continued its commitment to its support of the community this week by sponsoring the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra for their October 4th concert. The concert featured Grammy Award winning Hilary Hahn performing Tchaikovsky’s only violin concerto. “The evening was a great success.” said Michael Fish, Keir Surgical’s president. “Hilary Hahn was absolutely fabulous. Hearing the passion in her music took my breath away.”

The evening was topped off by a private reception held at the Orpheum and included appearances by Hilary Hahn, Bramwell Tovey (the VSO conductor), Arthur Williams (VSO Board of Directors), and Jeff Alexander (VSO President and CEO). In addition to its support of the arts, Keir Surgical also used the evening to support another local organization, Operation Rainbow, by making a donation at a pre-show reception.
